Rocket Stove
Come learn the ins and outs of various types of rocket stoves. We will have some on display.
Hugelkultur
The property has a set of hugelkultur beds on site that were installed four years ago. Come learn what has worked and what the designer would change for futureprojects
Aquaponics
This will be an introduction workshop to aquaponics. We will have a small scale model of an aquaponics system on hand.
Keyline Installation
We will be learning the basics to keyline design and you will participate in the installation of a keyline system on 5 acres. An excavator will be onsite for the installation.
Aquaculture Pond
We will be installing a small backyard aquaculture pond aimed to increase biodiversity among newly planted fruit trees.
Hand Tools
We will have a variety of different hand tools. Come learn about the different types and how to safely and efficiently use them.
Top Bar Beehive Presentation
This presentation will cover the ins and outs of top bar beehives. A top bar beehive will be onsite minus the bees!
World Cafe Session
Come learn about what a World Cafe Session is, and how it is implemented. Then take part in our own World Cafe aimed to make next years convergence even better!
Animal Husbandry
This workshop will cover an introduction to animal husbandry. The workshop leaders will cover their experiences raising rabbits, chickens, sheep, pigs, ducks and geese.
Yogurt Making
This short workshop will cover the steps to making your own yogurt.
Forest Restoration
Using Livestock
This workshop will focus on how to use livestock to manage an oak woodlot and restore diversity to the system.
Placemaking
Come learn how to reimagine public places as the heart of your community. Learn how to use community-based participation to design, manage and program your public spaces as the heart of your community.
